Brazilian Butt Lift/Buttock Augmentation
Gluteal (Buttock) Augmentation is for the person who has not developed proportionate gluteal muscles, lacks adequate buttock fat or simply wishes to enlarge, lift and shape the buttock mounds. The buttocks are augmented with the use of implants designed to achieve an individual’s desired results and based on Dr. Elmaraghy’s judgement. These implants are made out of soft, solid implantable medical grade silicone polymers and are different from breast implants. Gluteal implants are for anyone who is in good health, average physical condition, and desires more shapely or proportional buttock contour. Indications for buttock augmentation include:
- Disproportionately small buttocks
- Shapeless Bottom
The operation may be performed:
- Under general anaesthetic on an outpatient basis
- Procedure is approximately 2 hours in length
- Majority of the swelling and discomfort will subside within 1 to 2 weeks
The surgical technique may vary, however, generally the implant may be placed into each buttock area between the fascia and the gluteal muscle. Intramuscularly, through a single incision over the tailbone.
