Indications for Breast Implant Removal:

Surgery Details
During breast implant removal, Dr. Elmaraghy will ensure your comfort with general anesthesia. Once you’re prepared, he will make an incision in a discreet location, typically under the breast fold (inframammary fold) or around the areola. Through this incision, Dr. Elmaraghy will carefully remove the breast implants and perform a partial or full capsulectomy ie. removal of any hardened scar tissue (capsular contracture) that may have formed around the breast implants.
If your implants are ruptured, any silicone leakage will also be addressed during the procedure. If you choose to replace your implants and/or combine the removal with a breast lift, Dr. Elmaraghy may perform these steps during the same surgery or possibly advise a second procedure in a staged approach. Once the desired outcome is achieved, the incisions are closed with dissolving sutures and surgical tape.
Breast Revision Surgery Options
Breast revision surgery provides tailored solutions to address changes in breast appearance after implant removal.
